Mask

Description

TIn popular tradition, masks are a way of concealing the true face of the people who wear them.
The etymological origin of the word mask, from the Greek (per-son), is, and I quote “the sound that comes from behind the mask”.
One of the most common types of masks are animal ones.
In the Shamanic tradition, contact with the obscure and mysterious forces of Nature are obtained through wearing a mask portraying an animal.
A series of appropriate objects – which are almost always wonderful – are necessary in order to carry out these rituals and propitiatory celebrations .
